Tricomed Limited have developed a mixer, available either wall, rail or mobile trolley mounted, where the clinician can utilize existing Oxygen and Nitrous Oxide supplies.

A 50:50 mixture of Oxygen with Nitrous Oxide is used world-wide as an analgesic in emergency and obstetric medicine.

50:50 02/N20 is available pre-mixed in a cylinder.

This is an expensive technology, especially when you consider that Oxygen and Nitrous Oxide is almost always available either in separate cylinders or via the hospital pipeline supply system.

The 02/N20 Blender can be attached to the wall next to a bed or on a wall rail, and the provided high pressure hoses plugged directly into the wall supply, or via regulators to oxygen and nitrous oxide cylinders. Alternatively, the mixer can be mounted on a trolley together with the appropriate cylinders, to provide a completely mobile station for moving from bed to bed as required, or to follow the patient into the delivery room.

The standard system provides a 50:50 mix. A 70:30 system is also available for relative analgesia, and a totally variable gas system for clinical research.
